The ac is the best window ones we have ever had quite and our electric bill decreased Stanley the only issue we have found is the batterys for the remote drain quickly Im on my third set and not using the ac in this weather and the batteries still are useless after a week so I will contact lg and see if they will replace it

I bought this to replace a 12 year old AC in my living room. It looks great and I cant get over how much quieter it is I havent really put it through its paces yet but so far so great. My only complaints are minor ones: I had to manually set the wi fi up through ThinQ and the instructions were a bit confusing and there was a strong new plastic smell emitted when the fan was on that took a few days to dissipate.

Amazingly cool and quiet for its btus. Its cooling a room 650 Sq ft. The other reviews stating whisper cool are correct. I found that at initial startup or when changing fan speeds there is what others called a whirling sound This dissipates after a minute or so and this whirling sound would be 100 acceptable if that was how loud it was: a very quiet and dependable unit. Wont go back from LG acs ever. Couldnt have asked for me.

I did some research and decided to pay the little extra money for this unit. I am so glad I did. It blows freezing cold air and has many great features. I already noticed a difference in my month to month electric bill. This replaced a 5 year old unit of the same size.

The LG is whisper quiet. In medium mode I thought the LG made a slight whoppa whoppa helicopter-y sound and a slight electronic whine. I didnt like this but I use the unit mostly on the low setting. Also as shown in the pic the pan of the LG started rusting after only two weeks. Not sure if this is going to cause a problem.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. Has been great. My outside unit is banged up and not keeping up with 110 degree weather here in Arizona. I bought this 12000 Btu LG Dual Inverter AC Unit. My last months electric bill is $159 And it wasnt cooling below lower 80s. Ran for an hour and loses a degree in the afternoon. I put this huge ac unit in my awninged front window. Bent the 80 pound support and had to get the 160 pound support. I spray foamed the outter casing in the window. Put the casing on the ac unit first as the casing doesnt have a bottom in it to support the casing on the support Whew Very solid setup. Has been keeping my living room and dining room and kitchen at 78 degrees. Any cooler and I start looking for more clothes. I left the screws out of the front cover and it quit and showed a ch02 error code. Called LG Customer Service and they had me take the front cover off to check the electric plug in and it rattled loose. Firmly plugged in and has ran for days with no problem. My fault. Put the screws in the front cover to prevent vibration. LG Customer Service walked me thru the whole fix and was very patient with me. Im 67 and not all that fast. They were great and I love my ac unit. AND APS said I used 40 less electricity than last week No more $159 for me. Thanks Everybody

I bought this a few weeks ago. I needed one asap since the previous one just stopped working. I needed similar in size since I wanted to use thru the wall. After a few days of searching found it was available at P.C. Richards. The salesperson was great answered all my questions since I was hesitant since I was not putting it on the window but thru the wall. I am glad that I purchased it. It fit great and it is really quiet and cools the rooms quickly. Sometimes I have to check to see if its on because it so quiet. Im so happy with this product.

I chose this unit because of its high ratings on Consumer Reports. I bought it from Home Depot and the delivered the unit on its side which is bad for AC units. I put it on the right side and waited over a day to install but it made lots of horrific noises and LG customer service told me to take it badk to Home Depot which I did. Bought another one from Home Depot and they also left it on its side in my driveway. Waited a day before installing and it too was dead on arrival. LG customer service was confused and again sent me back to Home Depot where I returned the unit. While in the store I noticed that HD was storing several other AC units on their side so I dont know whether the problem is bad design and quality control at LG or improper storage and handling at Home Depot.

LW1222IVSM Weve never had an LG AC unit before and boy were we missing out This unit is so so quiet my husband doesnt mind leaving in on while we watch TV or when people are chatting in the living room. I happen to love the Smart features to adjust with my phone. The beast is heavy but it was worth everything to install it permanently in our LR window. Again- the unit is so quiet you dont even know its on My husband and I installed it ourselves were a bit handy though I am really happy there was a side roof inches below the window we used We used a brace to be sure it was secure. The controls- super easy and I dont know that Ive ever needed the high fan setting. The filter is easy to get to when it needs to be cleaned and with the Smart app is set up it also sends me a text message telling me the filter needs to be cleaned It has options for fan cool sleep drydehumidifier and the smart app monitors the energy usage as well as having a Smart Diagnosis feature that Ive never had to use. All in all- we are delighted with our purchase and have already decided to upgrade our other AC units to LGs when the time comes. Might be sooner than we think - My husband? He thinks is COOL

Huge 2 car garage. I insulated the garage door with a Styrofoam door kit The 14000 btu would have been a little better but 72 degrees near the floor 84 degrees at the top of the garage door. 92 degrees at hottest part of the ceiling the edge where the roof sloops. No insulation in the attic above the garage. I will insulate where the roof meets the attic floor. Best Average temperature 78 degrees when it is 90 degrees outside

Bought this to replace an old 10000 BTU non-inverter unit that finally died on us just as the summer heat is ramping up and so far Ive been very impressed. It is a bit larger than the old unit but as this is 12000 BTU and an inverter unit I suppose thats to be expected but this did result in having to also buy a support bracket. Even though this is a larger unit BTU wise and my electrical company has raised prices for electricity this year I have not seen any jump in my bill compared to last year so I do think this unit does save on electric bills and overall power usage. It is very quiet compared to my old unit and has a decent range of motion in the vent for air direction. Its doesnt have the same air pushing capabilities as my old unit - I cant stand across the room and feel the wind however it does a great job over all at cooling down the room once it gets going. This 12000 BTU unit is covering our living room kitchen and dinning room with no problems. If they made these inverter units in 5-6000 BTU options I would buy them for our bedrooms as well. Very impressed overall.

I bought two ACs about 3-4 Months ago. One AC has been a problem. Code CH 05 shows and the AC only works intermittently. It has been a couple months that I have had to deal with this. A brand new AC that doesnt work. Now I am waiting for the back up technician to receive a part and install it. If it still does not work properly LG should give me another AC with no charge

Good Product - Expect Delivery on a Pallet

When the delivery person called me to ask where to deliver the air conditioner I was a little confused. I walked out to a very large air conditioning unit on a pallet. It was a bit overwhelming. I want to tell others so that you all are not overwhelmed the way I was. Additionally the unit is VERY heavy - Im not even sure how many pounds I would guess over 50 though. But an awkward 50 pounds. Beyond the delivery experience the unit works well. I had to put it on a stand because I was concerned with it damaging the window. the stand was flush with the unit to take the weight off of the window. It works best in small/mid sized open area or a bedroom. I moved it from my dining room to my bedroom to see where it worked best. It worked best in my bedroom. In my dining room it lowered the temperature of my home but not by much. My bedroom was cold though with the door closed. And when it was too cool I opened my door and I was still comfortable. Overall the delivery process left much to be desired. But I love the a/c unit and would recommend it. I just used it with the buttons on the display but there are other smart features.

The LG Window AC offers low noise level and excellent cooling. It has a sleek appearance so it doesnt look like a eye-sore in the window. It is easy to install easy to operate offers nice options. We are cooling a 600 sq foot area and cools the area quickly. I would definitely recommend this air conditioner.
