Nice Microwave strange turntable assist

Only had it for a few weeks but so far its working great. Smart modern appearance. The amusing melody is strange but we are having fun with it. Sounds like an ice cream truck is coming down your street : Hardly loud enough to wake everyone up. Powerful we are having to adjust all our cooking times etc. and we are getting used to the dual control panels but its not a deal breaker. Only annoying thing is the interesting design of the plastic turntable assist . It only has three wheels and 3 sliders which rattle around unless the food has some weight to it. Wish it had 6 wheels that would added about $1 to the cost im guessing :

Horrible Magnetron/Annoying interface

As others said magnetron blew and too expensive labor to bother fixing. I also hated having to open the door to select controls and only + - for time - no way to actually enter using numbers. I hated that so almost happy to trash this one. I wont purchase another LG

Bought a couple of weeks ago great appearance fast heating a fantastic defroster. Only drawbacks are that is shows fingerprints prominently on the outside control panel and sometimes the turntable makes a scrapping noise probably due to the slides on the truntable roller.

Love everything about this microwave and ease of use except the turntable ring. It has 3 wheels and 3 stationary tabs that arent as big as the wheels so it rattles loud every time when in use. I purchased a different ring with only 3 wheels and no tabs no more rattling. I think LG should change the ring.

After considerable research I selected this oven for its 1200W microwave power 1.5 cu.ft capacity internal light and turntable with the right outside dimensions. The slide timer is easy to use. Negative reviews correctly called out its slightly louder sound level it is a throbbing growl along with creaks from the turntable - not a problem. A couple of reviews of older units said it was not well vented allowing residual steam to cause rust and peeling interior paint - so I leave the door slightly open after use. All things considered I like my new LG microwave oven.

Previous LG Microwave Failed After 2 Years

I bought this model from Best Buy with a 4-year warranty thankfully in November 2020. In December 2022 I noticed it took longer to heat up food and liquids. Finally it was clear that the power had decreased enormously and I could no longer use it effectively. I returned it and the warranty terms were that I would only get a store credit. So I ended up buying an identical LG Microwave. Ive had it less than one month and it seems to work well but I am not confident that it will last long term. This is the third microwave not all LGs Ive had in about 4 years.

2nd microwave of this type

We built our house 3 years ago and bought all new LG appliances for the kitchen. The original microwave we purchased lasted about a year and a half and we had to replace it because it would no longer warm food when it ran. We tried to get it repaired since the microwave matched the other appliances rather than go to a new and different model. We ended up making the decision to purchase another exact duplicate since they wont repair microwaves. Not sure how long the 2nd microwave of this style will last. Love LG but have lost some confidence in this particular product.

I bought this for my home based on an LG model at my workplace. Im not too crazy about this one but Im stuck with it. I dont have a box to return. First it is loud. It sounds like something is loose in it. It rattles when it is on. Second there is no number pad. You are supposed to use the presets. I prefer a number pad. Give it a second chance

I bought this LG 1.5 cu ft microwave a little over a year agoand it now its now broke. It was just little over a year and it is out of warranty. The actual used of this product is less than a yearbecause we were away from home for 3 months. Because we liked this microwave so much and decided to buy back the exact same model and gave it a second chance. Hopefully this will not disappoint us.

Great Microwave But.....

I got a really good deal on this microwave back in 2018 when I caught it on sale. Three and half years later and the LCD screen is completely not readable. The warranty period is already over. Local appliance repair places that LG has a legit repair places wont even look at it. I dont know what is up with that but that is what they told me. The store where I bought the microwave told me to just buy another one So be warned that you could experience this issue with your LG microwave. I am to the point where I am tired of over heating my food because I cant see how much time I am putting in.

Nice features with keypad on the door

I bought this and after 12 months it died. It was not robustly made. These will never last long. Because the way it was made i saw no point in fixing it. It will just die again in a few months. Magnatron is probably still good...thats the only thing that has a waranty longer than one year. I think the smart inverter died.....anyway everything seems to work except it doesnt heat.

Display broke right after warranty expired

Part of the numeric display broke right after the one year warranty expired. Now we can either have a silly looking appliance on our countertop or pay for a repair that will cost more than the microwave did in the first place. Fun
