Compressor died 6 mos after 5 yr warranty 10 yr covers ONLY the actual compressor not parts as stated nor labor. Parts another $200 and labor $400 to install a $400 compressor. Shouldve just bought a new fridge. LG Customer service no help in reimbursing for anything. Not to mention $250 worth of spoiled food.

Do not recommend. Froze food so bumped temp up. Support said I had to keep food away from back of unit to avoid freezing. Seriously? In this small fridge? Also icemaker breaks a lot of cubes and occasionally creates a big frozen lump in the bin.

Great until it dies

I bought 3 years ago really liked it. Size moveable shelves/bins. That was until 2 weeks ago when it stopped cooling. The compressor just died. It went out on a Sunday night called Monday and was useable on Friday. Just try to LG to give the loss of food reimbursement Lost everything in fridge freezer. Went thru LG repair service. I like LG products but wont buy anymore because warranties dont mean anything. Its fixed but Im out way over the $300 they say they reimburse

My new fridge was making a strange buzzing noice every so often. I called and was given an appointment right away with in a couple of days. Ernie found:Found ice maker turned on and no water connected to refrigerator causing buzzing noise from water valve explained noise turned off ice maker all operations are good Not only did he fix the problem he ent above and beyond by explaining how I should store my items etc. Also he phoned be before arriving extremely polite. I love the bottom freezer compartment and optional ice make. It has plenty of room and spaces for everything. The lighting is so nice I can see everything no bending over. The stainless steel is lovely but does show prints so it needs cleaned more often. No changing temperature because it regulates its self. Its a very nice refrigerator

Bought refrigerator in January 2023. Bought stainless steel that is NOT the fingerprintless style but we knew we could deal with that as we are seniors with no little ones around. We are always very careful and meticulous Our complaint is the water streaking If condensation from freezer/frig drips on the door or any moisture at all it leaves terrible streak marks that CAN NOT be removed It stains it permanently We have tried all the recommend stainless steel cleaners and nothing works Why they still make this type of stainless steel for appliances is crazy We did have a choice to purchase the fingerprintless but at a much higher price$700.00 more for the exact same model Ludicrous Fingerprints and smudges that are removable are one thing but permanent water marks are unacceptable

Great Features and Look

This replaced a side by side refrigerator that was much larger. Despite the smaller size it uses the storage space much more efficiently so it doesnt feel like I lost any space.I love the ice maker it uses much less interior space than an in door model The fridge is quiet and I love the sleek look. I chose this model over the larger 27 cu. ft. model because the spit shelves appear stronger and offer more flexibility. Only thing I wish is that the stainless was print free.

Fridge worked great until just after the manufacturers warranty ended. Then the efficient compressor died and would have cost more to repair than the fridge cost us brand new. Meanwhile the 17 year old fridge we got it to replace is still running great. Also in trying to find out if the unit was still under warranty Ive been added to a million mailing lists by LG but received zero help in getting a working fridge.

I bought this refrigerator about 3 weeks ago and so far so good. Its a good product but I wish that at least one of the shelves could slide in and out to accommodate large items like a tall water pitcher.

Lousy Refrigerator Even Worse Company

I bought this refrigerator in March of 2020. In October 2023 the compressor gave out. That was October 18th today is November 7th and LG is still telling me that theyre trying to get someone out to replace compressor under warranty. Ive already had to purchase a new refrigerator and Im out all the lost food. I also purchased an extended warranty with this unit and they tell me sorry the compressor is still under warranty so thats on the mfgr. Dont buy LG youll be extremely sorry. Google LG Class Action Lawsuits and LG Sued and you will see that this is an epidemic with LG. I own LG tvs air conditioners and now a 250lb paperweight sitting in my kitchen. Dont buy LG ever

French Doors for Cheap

I bought two months ago and I am loving the french doors up top. It was way cheaper than the other brands given the cubic footage interior space and french door style. It works great although I dont think it can wirelessly communicate with your phone . Interior organization is also good and it comes with an ice maker and tray I dont use that though. Temperatures for both fridge and freezer are easy to set.

No Filter for the Ice Maker

I have purchased but not yet received my new refrigerator Model # LFCS22520S. I found while researching this site that this fridge doesnt have a replaceable filter for water going to the Ice maker. This info is only available if you search reviews. Hopefully there are no other shortcomings LG forgot to mention.

Worst Refrigerator Ive Owned

Bought this frig nearly 2 years ago. Its the worst refrigerator Ive ever owned by far. Its frozen items when temperature is set at 42 degrees. Temperature shoots up into the 60s sometimes for no reason. Ice machine produces ice when its in the mood. The app from LG is a hoot. The night before I left for vacation this June the entire frig and freezer shut down. I threw away hundreds of dollars worth of groceries. The app said the frig was working just fine even though it was unplugged and standing in an 80 degree kitchen. Repair folks have been good theyve come twice. But really...I never imagined an appliance could be this bad.

I bought this on July 1 2021. It quite working on October 14. We have tried to get a refund because the compressor failed a known problem that they even had a lawsuit for this same problem. We bought after the lawsuit was settled. We have had 3 repairmen tell us the same thing and 2 of them dont work on isobutane.

My refrigerator needed service after only three and a half years. I lost a full fridge and freezer full of good. To say I was unhappy is an understatement. Getting service was very easy and then serviceman and service was excellent. I would recommend Chris to everyone

We purchased a Lg refrigerator on 6/27/2023 . looking it over we found there was no filter for the ice maker. Your ice is made from tap water . After a couple of weeks we noticed frost forming on the inside of the freezer. After talking to three different company reps they said there might be a problem and they would send out a repairman. He took the freezer completely apart and put it back together it did seal better but not great and the freezer door was out of alignment he said that was the best he could do. We said the ice didnt freeze very solid he told us that was because they didnt use freon they used propane as a coolent. The quality of this frig is not very good.

After 5 years the compressor died. I called LG and they sent a technician out who was very professional and courteous. Lg replaced the compressor with no questions asked. I was surprised that the warranty was still valid after 5 years.

We have had this for 2 years. The compressor broke which is covered for 10 years. We havent had a refrigerator for 3 weeks now. There is no one in the area that works on this kind of compressor because it has butane in it. I think it is about time LG should just give us a new refrigerator.

Compressor replacement

The customer service was curtious. The bad compressor was replaced. And now the fridge sounds like a car that is idling. Its louder and the fridge feels vibrating to the touch. I have 2 other fridges that are quiet and dont vibrate at all. I will think twice before I buy another LG if the loud sound is not fixed. It may be a bad compressor or just a loud compressor replaced the old and bad compressor.
